A stunning and very imposing surround, perhaps in the early Victorian manner, but with strong classical references referring to antiquity.

To create this impressive stone piece requires huge blocks carefully prepared. Clay maquettes are modelled, and the two male terms, Atlantes, are summoned forth through the might of the chisel. The main skill employed here is to create two absolutely identical figures.
