A large and impressive George III statuary marble chimneypiece with convent Sienna inlay to the tapered jambs. The frieze panels with quatre-foils are also inlaid with Convent Sienna and Verde Antico marble, bordered with Spanish Brocatello. The carved centre tablet depicts 'The choice of Hercules'. The chimneypiece has a carved mantle shelf with dentil layer. Carved urns with suspended drapery adorn the corner blocks.
