An important 18th century statuary marble chimneypiece inlaid with Spanish brocatelle and Scagliola decoration in the form of foliate sprays to the frieze panels and bordering the centre tablet. The jamb panels feature a bird holding a trailing rose from its beak which intertwines vertically around a central staff. These inlaid panels are framed within a brocatelle facia which is repeated in the centre tablet and outer corner blockings, carved with tilted ewers.

A run of small inlaid scagiola flutes continues through the shelf and bed mouldings. The break front shelf is embellished throughout with a string of carved beads. Carved tilted ewers adorn the corner blocks.
