An Irish 18th century inlaid statuary marble chimneypiece in the manner of Pietro Bossi, a renowned Italian stuccodore who worked in Georgian Dublin.

The jambs and frieze panels are decorated with classical motifs and bands of Sienna brocatelle. The central panel is delicately embellished with a ribbon swag of ivy leaves, the side panels with a ribbon garland of laurel. The whole is surmounted with a carved, egg and dart breakfront lower shelf, and beaded top shelf.
